losing a line of movement when running a gcode - uc100 + uccnc (wich leads to drops)

    hi all ,
so ive built myself a machine, running uccnc non windows 10 ( :| ) through a uc100 controller , which is conected through my computers usb and gets electricity from a usb plug in the wall.

It all worked perfectly untill 2 days ago , this is what happens:
When i run a gcode through uccnc it will sometimes work and sometimes it will completely ignore one of the first lines it has to move . (only one of the 3 parameters on the line).

for example if i give it (g01 z3 x20 y12) it will do the x and the z and it will count the y but the machine itself wont actually move the y axis , that little miscount completely shifts my home (and my zero) by the amount of steps in the certain direction that it lost.
This happens with either one of the axises , hapened on several codes , generated from fusion , and from flatcam, it hapened to codes that worked in the past and now suddenly they dont (the bug appears).

i tried changing adreses for the X,Y,Z motors, on my controler , tried reinstalling the software , took it all out of the electricity (including restartng the computer) nothing works.

i cant see any reason for hardware issues since it works perfectly smooth except for this one comand .

wondering if anyone has any insight.

Is the DRO showing the movement?
    What version of UCCNC?

whats the dro? (if you mean the coordinates of the movement in the gui then yes, it shows the movement but doesnt move the actual motor leading to drops)
    version is 1.2049

    thanks!

Are you sure the motor isn't stalling?
I've never heard of anyone having an issue like this.

    i know...
i'm quite a good troubleshooter as well, so this is really weird.
i did have a moment of suspicion with the uc100 but it really looks like a software bug.

sorry for being n00bish but what do you mean the motor stalling?

also i just did a clean install of a previous version of ucnc and the problem didnt come back yet , still stressing it a bit and trying to reproduce it on the new setup but it looks promising.

If a stepper doesn't have enough power, it can stall (just stop spinning), and then start again. You'll typically hear a grinding type noise when it stalls.

If it's repeatable, send all the info to CNC Drive and they'll fix it right away, if they can duplicate the error.

    So it doesn't stall.

I'll send a report to cnc drive , it's just a really weird thing and hard to reproduce , is happens randomly.

the solution for now was downgrading to an earlier version of the software.

I'll post again in a couple of days if it all goes well.
