maho with TNC heidenhain comm problem

    Dear all,

I have to deal with a Maho 800 T milling machine with Heideinhain TNC 155 (or 151 ?) controller.

It is a quite old machine, without any documentation.

I've tried to send programs from the PC to the machine, using the following settings: 2400 bauds, 7 bits, parity even, 2 stop bits, hardware control.

    The software was NCnet lite.

I have no wiring schematics for the cable so I have used a standard one which worked with some other controllers (quite a stupid thing to do, but I was in a hurry).

So, I only managed to RECEIVE something (looks as a program in size, but it is only a bunch of strange characters) FROM the machine to the PC, I NEVER managed to SEND anything.

Could anyone help me with a cable diagram and/or some advices ?

I also have to mention that the interface is a V24, but I was told that works similar as a RS 232.

    Thank you in advance,

    Radu

Please log on to www.heidenhain.com & from softwares menu. download TNCRemoNT software.

It will work properly with your control.
