    Cutting SBR20

    Hello everyone!

I recently purchased some SBR20 off of ebay, and now I need to cut it to length. At the moment I only really have a jigsaw and a hacksaw. Would these be sufficient, or should I purchase some other tool for cutting? I was looking at a cheap angle grinder from harbor freight for the job. https://www.harborfreight.com/4-12-i...der-60372.html

    Thanks in advance!

Neither a jigsaw or hacksaw will probably get through the hardened surface layer.
Wrap the rails in a wet towel when using an angle grinder, so they don't get hot.

Thanks for the help; I appreciate it. Is there a specific cutting wheel that would be ideal for the job?

Hi Fox - A drop saw would be better. A angle grinder in hand will skip around a bit. Just get a blade that's for steel and go slow and steady. Peter
