I am a new user of CNC any thing and I have a CNC router running Arduino/GRBL. I am using UGS to send the code.
When I load a tool path I see this in the Z+ view
Attachment 419884
and this in the Z- view
Why is this?

Z+ means the Z+ direction is coming out of the screen This is normal and shows the XY plane which is where the majority of moves are made. It is like you are looking down at the top of your part on the work table.
I may not have worded that well. Both these images are from the same g-code. Why do I only see the ramp in and the rapid movements on the
Z+ side and an image of what I am going to carve on the Z- side? Shouldn't I see both on the Z+ side?
Should it also show the tool position or at least the origin on the Z+ side as well?
The Z- is showing a negative of what I am carving.
Thanks

resolved
for some reason the transparency of the Z color was at 0 pct. I increased it to 50% and all is well.
