I am almost finished with a DIY GRBL 1500mm x 1500mm CNC router using CNC xPRO v4 board and I'm at the homing stage, but having trouble. I have all of the proximity switches wired up and mounted, but when I try to home, the Z axis raises up and trips the sensor, but nothing happens? It's supposed to stop and bounce off, but nothing. Homing is enabled and hard limits is enabled. Wondering if anyone had any ideas on why this is happening?

Seems like you are leaving a lot out of the description.

So we know the Z moves when $H issued and the switch gets triggered.
Is an alarm or error thrown?
Any other messages from Grbl?
Does x or y do anything?
Does it stop when Z hits the limit, or keep going through the switch?
Have you checked the status report to see if the limits are working?
Are your limits NO, NC, electronic, other?

Thanks so much for responding guys! I haven't been able to respond until today, but I finally figured out what was wrong. My optocoupler was wired wrong, but I assumed it was wired correctly due to the LED's that were lit up on it. I changed up the wiring today, just to try everything i could think of and that fixed it.

I am having a new problem and I've created a new post for that :-(
