    VMC 4020 w. 88HS Control, glitches when left idle

    We have a VMC4020 which has always had its issues related to the turret tool changer but it has developed a new and annoying habit in the last week.

    When making parts the machine behaves normally, however when left idle it will freeze up and go completely blank on the screen after about 30 minutes.
    We then have no ability to manually move axes or to home them and have to power down and restart. Then the machine behaves normally again (after we set CS). I had suspected the power supply but wouldnt it then also freeze up while operating?

    Anyone have any similar problems? What did you do to address them?

    Is the LED on the 1030 card (Slot 8) still blinking when this happens?

    I would try Pulling every card and re-seat them on the motherboard
