    System variables for Fanuc Control

    Hello all,We have a job that requires changing new insert in the middle of the cane cycle (Rough cut). Sometimes the operator forgets to change it so I want to write a macro to stop the machine and ask the operator to replace a new insert in the middle of rough cut cane cycle.Is there a system variable to record the current position of X or some thing so that I can signal to stop the machine and popup a msg? I know #3006=1 will popup a msg ....Is there a system variable to record the reset button when it is activated?I have a mori seiki TL-40.Thanks for your help

    Break the roughing into two canned cycles with m00 and comment between? Seems simpler to me
