    Alarm 1012 Fanuc OM

    I am having an alarm on my machine Jonhford VMC550A Fanuc OM Alarm 1012 sp_ori off ls alrm. Can someone help me

    Open the main cabinet and look at the spindle amplifer, chances are you will see alarm 12. The is a fault in the DC power circuit and needs to be repaired.

    alarm over 1000 are machine tool related, not fanuc and are different for each machine. Wath it seems to mean is that the spindle orientation limit switch is off when it should be on. Is this alarm occurs after a M19 (spindle orientation) probably during a tool chang?. Look for a limit switch that is activate when the spindle is oriented for a tool change. suspect the switch or its cabling.
