    Re: BREAK OUT BOARD HELP

    Thanks gerry

looking at the advert linked to

    Motor control output port

P1 - 2.5KHZ the PWM signal, the output port of the parallel port

    P2 -- X Axis pulse
    P3 -- X Axis direction
    P4 -- Y Axis Pulse
    P5 -- Y Axis direction
    P6 -- Z Axis pulse
    P7 -- Z Axis direction
    P8 -- A Axis pulse
    P9 -- A Axis direction
    P14 -- relay port
    P16 -- relay port
    P17 -- relay port

    2: External sensor input interface

    Port describle:

    P10 -- IN1 E-stop
    P11 -- IN2 Alternate
    P12 -- IN3 Alternate
    P13 -- IN4 3Axis limited
    P15 -- IN5 Alternate

    4. Power supply for Breakout board ( two ways)

One is 9-32V input (DC, with power light indicator)

Another one is 5V, it is taken from the USB port,

7 way input terminal block -

    5V gnd IN1 IN2 IN3 IN4 IN5

    Attachment 436646

its not clear if the 5V and gnd terninals are the 5V supply from the USB port

or as I would expect stepped down from the 9-32V input

the GND being the common for the inputs and

the 5V probably the + 5V supply to the input opto-isolator LED's you can use to power

    some types of proximity switch

you will need to measure the voltage with just the 9-32V input connected

and then just the USB cable to find out which
