    Altivar 320 VFD + ESS Smoothstepper + Mach4

    Hi
Does anyone here knows how to set the parameters up properly along with the wiring of the Schneider Altivar 320? ATV320 ATV320U75M3C

This thing as nice as it is looks really intimidating to me. It is a replacement for a Huanyang VFD (HY).
So the ESS is currently configured and wired to run the HY.

    I have a single phase 240V to a three phase 2.2kW spindle.

    Thank you, Erik.

How did you have the Huanyang wired it is not much different do you have the PDF of the VFD Drive that would help

These are the connections you would use

    Speed control AI1 to com

On / Off DI to com

Don't power it up with the spindle attached until you have all the Parameters set I will see what I can find for your Parameters

I'm reading through the pdfs posted on the Schneider's website
But what I see so far is that they are very generic and thus confusing (to me)
Would be awesome if you can find this.
    Thank you!

The HY drive wired like this

    Quick update
I downloaded the SoMove application and ATV320 DTM Library.
First impression is that this VFD is highly programmable/customisable and quite complex ... not something to jump in not knowing what to do.

On the ATV312 under drC is the function tUn, you set this to ON and then the VFD will auto tune to the attached motor the first time the run button is pressed. Worked for me and saved me having to set up the motor parameters. Hopefully the ATV320 has the same function.

    [Auto Tunning]:
Auto-Tunning for UnS, FrS, nCr, nSP, nPr?and COS

Once the motor was up and running and reacting properly to the VFD controls I then added a remote control and set it to 3 wire control in the settings. Nothing else was touched in the settings.

That is incorrect you must always set the motor Parameters before doing an auto tune if it is a standard AC 50Hz / 60Hz motor then yes you can Auto Tune but not if the motor frequency is above 50Hz or 60Hz which most VFD Drives Default settings
