    Problem with work offsets and Acromatic control

    Hi Guy's
    I have been making prototypes and low volume parts for the last year or so with Camworks. Now I have a higher volume job where I need to use work offsets / cordinates. I'm having problems, and I'm not certain if I'm not telling Camworks should correctly or if it is the post or what.
    If anyone one has any I deas I'd love to hear them. Also if you have a good post processor for a acromtic 2100 cincinatti let me know!!

    What sort of problems are you having with the offsets?

    What have you been using for your posts with your prototypes? What problems are you having with the current post you have for the Acromatic? I can probably help with the post if you have some sample code and can give me a decent description of what you need changed.

    acro 2100

    I was programming to a Fanuc exclusively and we paid for a post for that machine. I have just started to use this older Cincinatti Acromatic 2100 machine and I'm using the supplied post processor.

    So for beginners I'm just learning the Acro 2100, And I'm just barely up to speed with it. All I can do is use g92 for x y zero and adjust with the pallet offsets.
    The code produced from Camworks using the generic 2100 post produces code with a "H1" value for a work offset but I need it to post multiple like h1 h2 h3 h4.
    At the machine when I try to MDI a move like:
    g0 x1 y1 h1 (or h2) it will only move to the g92 x y coordinates.
    Any Ideas here!

    First, I do not know anything about the Cincinatti machine or its functions.

    As far as the posting of the fixtures (H's), it looks as if the post is working. Have you changed the FO's in the CAMWorks, part setup parameters, offset, and work offset settings for each fixtures? CAMWorks defaults to fixture 1. You need to click on the work offset to activate it and change the values accordingly.
