    Hobby CNC

I am wondering if anyone has had experience with either of the hobbyCNC controllers. I am purchasing the 3-axis to use with my first machine. Any reccomended software to use with it, anything to watch out for?

If you spend a little time reading the threads, you'll see that the HobbyCNC boards are probably the most commonly used boards for DIY routers.

Wondering if anyone knows about their website? I finally got the money together and ready to place my order and bamm.....the website is down for maintenance. Any announcements on when the site should be back up and functional or do they have a backup site available for now?

    Talking HobbyCNC web site down

Yesterday they sent out a notice to their support email list that they were going to be down for a couple of days 'intermittently' to do an upgrade.

I have been through some upgrades myself and they never go smoothly. So I expect them to be up for production before the weekend. Wednesday is probably optimistic, IMHO.

    I hope this helps.

    HobbyCNC

I bought the HobbyCNC 3 axis board and three of their NEMA23, the biggest they had, steppers. Have been using the complete system for over 2 years and has been just great. I also purchased their recommended power transformer and cabinet. Makes a very nice package.
