Hardinge CHNC 1 emergecy stop 6000

    Hi All,

Subject to my previous post on my Hardinge CNHC1 Siemens 810T control, So now I have managed to get the machine to power up (the fault was a short in the turret encoder) It took
me an age to find! I have removed the faulty unit, looks like its sealed in some sort of resin?

I now have a 6000 Emergency Stop, my question is will the machine give me this E-stop even though I have removed the faulty unit (I thought I might still be able to move the axis and maybe
start the spindle? as I do not get any alarms related to the turret?

    Thanks for any help.

    Allen

Make sure BOTH of the emergency stops are off, then clear the alarms. You can do nothing until that alarm is cleared. I had a bad E-stop switch on mine once.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply greatly appreciated, Yes I have done that, I have also checked both e-stops with a digital meter and both are good, The machine is not on the hard stops (I always move the axis
well clear of the limit switches before I shut the machine down,

Is it possible with the turret encoder removed that this would cause the e-stop? (6000)

    Thanks Allen.

Nope, looks like just the e-stop switch.

    Hi,

Thanks for the attachment, a great help! So you don't think that with the turret encoder completely removed it will give me an E-stop? that was my thoughts? do you think it could be a faulty limit switch?

I have been trying all day to clear the alarm but no luck

    Thanks again for your help

    Allen.
