Recently my spindle wont come on when its cold and has a red led going on on one of the boards in the drive, its a hardinge superslant gn6tc controls, The led that comes on is labeled on the board UFBERW or IFBERW (my eyesight sucks). Its been very cold here and im wondering if that could be part of the problem. If i power it on and let it sit idle for half an hour or so and restart the lathe that led eventually goes out and the spindle works fine until i let it sit again overnight. Does that sound like the transformer on the control board going bad? It's a siemens C98043-A1045-L314 Thanks for any help!

here's a picture i found on the web of the same board, the top left led comes on when i power on the main power without turning on the controller.
