    UB-1 DC2DC-12V - YES vs UB-1 DC2DC-12V - NO

Can someone please tell me what this $5 option does? Is it so the BOB can work off 12v? or does it provide 12v outputs?
I have only 36v PSUs and 12v PSUs but the UB-1 seems to want 24v.

I believe it's for the analog speed control. The default analog output on the UB1 will only give you about 9.8V. If you need a full 10V output, then you need to use the 12V supply for the analog output.

The UB1 itself requires a 24V power supply.

OK thanks. Only $5 more so might be worth getting it anyway. There are no better options on the market at the moment are there? Assuming this is still the best option for the UC300ETH.

Depends on who you ask, and what features you need. It's what I have, and I'd buy another if I needed one.

Fair enough. I think I am going to have to wait our dollar is better, it's starting to tank thanks to this virus.
