    TNGv2 and the ExtIn board

    Hello.
I saw something in the settings of the TNGv2 software. With shortcuts you can define up to 32 inputs with Ext1 and Ext2.
So am I right in assuming that the ExtIn board will be supported again?

ExtIn was always supported in TNG.

But I can only find them under shortcuts. I can not invert them under "inputs" like the eight normal inputs

Because they are not "normal" inputs.
"Ext" in configured in settings under "I2C, TC, Ext" section. There you can configure periodic reading/writing to "Ext" devices.
Using this as shortcuts was added because update loop already evaluates all signals. I just added them to user interface.

Main use for "Ext" is controlling external devices via GCode. "Ext" basically implements SPI protocol which offers great alternative to I2C.
