I'm looking into cutting a fusee on my lathe, but none of the available gcodes seem appropriate to do this.

A fusee is just a thread that is cut along a curvy profile, unfortunately, synchronised G32/G33 codes are not set up to do anything but linear moves and so can not be used.

A G95 feed-per-rev gcode would be ideal, except I don't think it is synchronised between passes.

So the question is: Am I missing a trick, or if not, would it be possible to add a 'synchronised between passes' function onto the G95 gcode?

I tried this out today and it worked really well, tracing the curve exactly.

The thread is nice and accurate too on parallel parts, but the one unforseen is that the pitch diminishes as the slope of the curve increases. I suppose this must be a function of the Z axis movement transitioning to the X axis to maintain a constant feed-per-rev along the toolpath.

Some way to maintain a constant pitch along a particular axis (regardless of other axis movement) would be nice for this kind of job - if that could ever be possible, please.

Try to interpolate arcs into series of lines, each one with its own speed?
For example, line at 45°angle should have speed (K if you use G33) increased by factor 1.41 in order to maintain same pitch in Z direction.
