Trouble with Yaskawa Drive & Servo

    I have a Yaskawa SGDA-08 Drive and a SGM-04 Servo Motor
I am trying to set it up, with little success.
In Sigma Win Lite or Sigma Win+ I go to Jog mode and as soon as I turn on the servo it starts vibrating like crazy but it will jog back and forth.
How can I get it to stop VIBRATING ?

    Please help..

    Thanks
    Curtis

Not familiar with that system, but usually oscillation at stand-still is often too high gain.

Do you have the drive set up for the correct motor? You are using a 750W drive with a 400W motor. I belive there is a setting in the drive to tell it what motor you are using.

    Motion Tech Support

If you have the full motor model numbers, it will be easier for me to assist you. The parameter Cn-02 bit 8 must be set according to the motor type that is being used. In addition, as someone stated before, we will need to tune the gains of the servo. Do you have a user's manual for this amplifier? You can always call Yaskawa Electric America at 1-800-YASKAWA (800-927-5292) then dial 22 for FREE tech support from a Motion Technical Support Engineer.
