    New router maintenance questions

Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to hobby CNC routers. Ive recently bought a JFT 3040 with a 1.5kw spindle.
The machine came with no instructions, but I'm fairly competent and assembled it without a problem. This week I
plan on setting up Mach 3, and seeing if i can get running. My first question is what is the best type of lube for the ballscrew and rails, grease or a light oil like WD40? My second question is about the spindle coolant. There are two fittings, but they are not marked In and Out. Is there a flow direction, or as long as the coolant is flowing through it should be ok.

Thanks in advance for any information or insight
    Jason

Do not use WD40, it is not meant for lubrication. Use grease

As for the spindle cooling, as long as there is liquid flow you are OK, no preferred flow direction. Use kind of antifreeze it has rust inhibitors and anti algae additives.

Thank you for the reply ZASto. I aslo thought greese would be better, but thought there might be more debris sticking to it. Antifreeze is a great idea and I had seen a few videos mentioned about it.
