    Arc In Z And X Plane

    WHAT IS THE CODE FOR MAKING AN ARC IN A PLANE OTHER THAN THE X AND Y?

    G18 to switch to XZ plane
    G19 to switch to YZ plane
    G17 to switch back to XY plane
    Still use G2 or G3. You won't use Y in the G2 or G3, you'll use X and Z

    You also need to use, (if you're using IJK method,) I and K for the X Z axis, and J and K for the Y Z axis.

    You also need a controller that supports circular interpolation in XZ or YZ. G-Code by itself isn't enough.

    i got the 3 axiz board and steppers from xylotex. will that do it?

    What software are you using to control the machine. It's not the Xylotex, but the software that needs to di it. TurboCNC or Mach2 will both work.

    i am using turbocnc.

    Turbocnc supports G17, G18, G19.
    Are you programming the center of a ball end mill?
