Thank's Jim for taking time to respond. now i'm sure there is a problem
in the servo amp.
I have same problem,
201-4 Alarm-A Servo Amp Z axis 4802A6
I used to turn off machine and alarm would go away.
Not anymore.
How did you fix your machine ?
Thanks
Javier
Have seen this alarm many times, usually this alarm is fatal to the drive unit. There is either a problem on the top board or the IBG modules on the lower base of the unit. There is a break down of the BDU / BLD unit in the maint. Manual. On check points to see if voltage is being sent to the top board.
Is this the BDU drive or has your machine been upgraded to the BLD drives? Are there LED's on the drive and if so, which ones are lit? If you have an IOCM or an IOCS lit, then you have to check the motor and cables with a megger to see if that is the cause of the overcurrent (IOCM = overcurrent in motor, IOCM = overcurrent in the servo amp). If you need further help, you can re-post here or contact me at: [email protected]
Sorry to disturb you, but i have an okuma osp5 inverter that had that same problem error 201-4, after repairing the power modules it worked just to get errors 171-1 and 170-1 after power on. I've tried to get the error codes list and the manual, but had no results. My email is [email protected], if you have it would you please send it to me? Thank you very much.
