Hello all,
I want to make a 4 sided pyramid out of plywood (I attached a picture to illustrate). The pyramid in the screen shot is just there to demonstrate the shape, its the sides layed out that i want to mill, I also attached a picture of the CAM hoping that better explains. I'm hoping i will be able to construct the pyramid using the panels, im essentially "hoping" to use the my cnc to cut compound mitre joints.
Wondering if anyone had any input on the best strategy for achieving this, I had an attempt and it didn't work well i got a fair amount of smoke before aborting ...ha, I tried using a 2 flute 6mm ball nose endmill.
I ran 1600 Rpm
2500 mm/min feed
1mm Depth of cut (about 15 passes)
2 flute 6mm ball nose endmill
Im also aware i may be asking to much from a cnc mill and may need to make this on my table saw but given the joints dont have to be perfect i thought i would try it, even if there is a bit of sanding evolved so the edges join nicely it would still advantageous
Thanks for reading hoping someone might steer me in the right direction
