    OKUMA OSP 5020i 232-4 ALARM

    HI
Im beginner in the work with okuma.
I instaled the machine and I started to work, it was working 20 hours and there wasn't problem, but then it showed alarm 232-4.
(sometimes the alarm is gone and the machine is working)
When the alarm is gone, the machine is in function measuring device and all 8 sensors are working.
When the alarm is on, only 4 sensors are working and the machine is not starting.
I turned off the cables from the measuring device but the alarm is still on.
(On the front panel is activated light SENSOR CONTACT)
I dont know if it's allright or not.
If somebody have an idea please help.

Seems like you may have a loose wire on the sensor head or the sensor is developing a faulty contact internally.
You need to check the I/O screens to see if there is any indication of circuit activation for the probe.
Unfortunately, I would be unable to tell you which I/O bit to watch as I don't have any electrical diagrams to look at...
    Can you disconnect the probe?
If so, will the problem go away or still remain?
If it goes away, then the probe is faulty, otherwise the fault may lie in the cable itself. Maybe a broken wire or a wire that has worn through the insulation and earths out on the machine?
    Good luck.
    Brian.

    Try this,

    Optinal parameter bit
    No 35 bit 7 set 1

    1. I tried with
    Optinal parameter bit
    No 35 bit 7 set 1
(before it was set on 1) I changed it on 0 but there is no change
And the Alarm 232-4 is still on

    2. I tried to turn off the probe and it gives me voice signal (the alarm is still on)
I switched probes places from A to B ( the alarm is still on )

    3. I checked the wires,I removed the probes and I connected them with short wires straight to the connector ( the alarm is still on )

Is there any way to turn off the probe for measurement and the SENSOR CONTACT?

    Thank you for the help.
