Help with programming a radius in XZ

Hey, I'm using heidenhain and I'd like to ask if I can make a radius in the XZ axes somehow. For example the mill will go down at x0z0 and reach its peak at x2,5mmZ-2,5 and goes back to X5Z0. Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm new to this

Re: Help with programming a radius in XZ

    Greetings,

Rather than trusting my poor memory, read up on G18 and G19 codes. One is for XZ moves and the other for YZ moves.

G17 is, generally, the default machining plane (XY).

Remember to switch back to G17 after your XZ circular interpolation moves.

    Cheers,

    Dave
