G84.90 degree angle tool Tapping spindle stoping as soon as G84 line hits in program

    hello all,

I am new here, i was wondering if any anybody could help me with this, i am trying to tap with a 90 degree angle tool on X/Z and Y/Z and the spindle comes on but it stop as soon as the program reads the G84 line crashing the tap into the whole due to spindle stopping as soon as it gets to that line, i am being able to tap on regular Z so its not that my parameters are not on, im thinking its gotta be another parameter in fanuc system that needs to be activated. any help or idea will be greatly appreciated.

Put up the nc code you have for the tapping
.. it may be how you have set the planes (ie G17, G18, G19) before the Tap cycle.
Also let us know the machine and control you have.

whats up bud. I was able to make it worked. i found a parameter that needed to be turned on, it was parameter 5101 bit 0 FXY. I turned that one to 1 and it stared tapping the holes.
    Thank you for replying back.
