    Kstrauss you can not offend me about something that I now nothing about (;-) Things Linux I am dumb as a box of rocks. And for the most part plan on staying that way.

    I assume it installs with sudo apt install ??

    why not use the package manager, that is what its for? keep it simple

    Perhaps I misunderstand. I meant for you to retry running Glade and see if you get the same error messages.

    Ok installed the new GtkSourceview . Doing it from Ap Manager was not simple (;-) no install button. Glade will now open file and save safely. PP nows opens OK. Still cannot copy paste but at least I am this far along.

    Sorry K I did have them try it but did not report it. It is not always easy working remotely from teh machine.

    Hi gerritv, followed your answers from LinuxCNC to this thread and this helped a lot to get me started with editing PP UI. Just wanted to say thank you. Now I just need to figure out how to connect the python codes with the actually GUI, which will be a real fun i guess
