That would chop the single long 80x160 main horizontal beams that runs the length of the machine into four smaller sections requiring fasteners there which would compromise the strength – just in a different spot. Should be receiving the aluminum via freight next week. Very excited to start building.

I do not know if the Clearpaths are any less capable than DMMs or Deltas but check with Teknic. They have knowledgeable engineers here in the US that are very willing to answer any questions you might have. I have Clearpaths and their built quality seems to be very high.

They don't come close.
