    Still, in my book, any fastener whatever shape and nomenclature is still inferior to a solid piece.

    That would chop the single long 80x160 main horizontal beams that runs the length of the machine into four smaller sections requiring fasteners there which would compromise the strength – just in a different spot. Should be receiving the aluminum via freight next week. Very excited to start building.
