    Tapmatic NCR0A

    Hello,

I was wondering if you can use a tapmatic NCR0A tapping head in a standard drill press. I don't have a user manual and there is no info on Tapmatic.com on older units.

    Tap capacity is 1/4"
    Max RPM 3000

I think this unit is for a cnc that has spindle speed control which I don't have. I have to tap a bunch of holes and would like to be able to use my floor standing drill press to do this.

Or do I sell this on ebay and find a manual tapping head like the 30X series.

Any info or user manual would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Jim

Drill press retracting spring is too strong to use with this tapping head, unless you lighting the spring.
