Hi,

I am looking for a laser cutter that can do the following:

1. Cut self-adhesive paper with a precision of +/- 0,1 mm

2. Simple to configure and use. The shapes to cut will only be cirkles and squares with sizes of max 5 cm. Typically it will be less than 1 cm

3. The price should be as low as possible. Not advanced features are needed as the cutter only will cut simple shapes from self-adhesive paper.


I would like to ask if anybody has experience cutting in self-adhesive paper and can recommend a laser cutter? My main worry is if the adhesive abilitites will be diminished during the cutting process because of the high heat(?)

What about the aesthetic considerations? Are you going to cut adhesive stencils for masking or you need it for finished products with clean-cut edges? Volume of production?
If you are looking for inexpensive machine for occasional use, I would suggest to look at the small size vinyl cutters.

I have thought a lot about vinyl cutters, but I am concerned that the adhesive will make the knives dull quickly. I spoke will a manufacture of vinyl cutters and they confirmed that dull knives will be a challenges in my use case. That is why I am now looking into laser cutters.

Maybe a 5-10 thousand pieces a month would justify the investment in a laser machine specialized for your application - capable of clean cuts without any burning of the edges.

The machine would be in the 8-20K range if imported from China. And 30-50K if it is made by a western brand.
