    No A axis moves ? ( in post )

    Hi Guys

I am having some trouble with 4th axis rotary indexing .

I have created a part that requires machining on 3 sides , I have created 3 different setups with the UCS 90deg apart. all seems to go well through the simulation. but when trying to output code I do not get any "A" axis moves. I have tried naming my setups the same and different. no change.

What I did to get the job done was uncheck "4th axis indexing" and outputted 3 different chunks of code and "stitched" them together with the appropriate A moves.

I have tried several post processors as well...No A axis moves.

I am sure that I am missing something...

Any help would greatly appreciated !!

    Scott,
In your stock properties there is a checkbox to generate your g-codes for all setups in one file. Let me know if this fixes your problem.

    Hi Guys

    Thanks for your replies !

    I left a reply last night...I don't know where it went ????

    It went something like this.....

    Nevermind....I'm an Idiot

I was not using a 4-axis post. (nuts)

    Anyway..
I found a FADAL post that seemd pretty close
I edited Program start , End and Tool change. Now it looks pretty good.
I am running Mach 3 on a Tormach , I will test the post shortly and report back.

    Thanks again
