I recently purchased a Clausing Colchester CNC lathe with a 21iT control.

When the spindle starts or changes speeds it is very aggressive, Pulls 160+ amps.
Dims the lights and will fault out frequently

Machine is rated for Max 100amps and the wiring was sized for 175amps

Spindle drive motor has been checked and is within spec.

I have talked to Clausing and they have never adjusted Fanuc spindle drive parameters on any lathe.

Don't misunderstand me, Clausing Industrial CNC service guys in Kalamazoo MI are the best and have helped me over the years more than I deserve.

Fanuc says they need to come out$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I don't mind paying but Fanuc tech wants a blank check

There must be some parameters that control the spindle max amp/load/ramp up?

Have no idea if someone has altered the parameters?

This is a nice machine and have a lot of time and money invested trying to fix this one issue.

Any thoughts or who I can contact?

Thanks
