    Hurco ATC error

For some reason I cant make a tool change. When I try a automatic tool change 4 to 6 seconds go by then I come up with this error.

[ATC error-Tool magazine is not in right position.]

But when I go to the diognostics page everything that needs to be highlighted, including the magazine position is. [Being highlighted means its in position for ATC]

    Anyone have any ideas???

    Thanks

I dont mean to ask the obvious. Did you home the axis and tool changer when you powered the machine up? My next question would be is the switch showing the magizine postion correct to the tool you want, check the atc diagnostic page? email me direct at [email protected]

Check your ATC sensors. The "ATC in position sensor" might be bad or out of position.

Does your spindle rotates to ATC?
If not Check your fuses, had the same problem and it was blown fuse.

sounds like the switch is bouncing, it makes it to the right switch and then bounces off. usually after the ATC has run for some time, the cushion on the end of travel starts to break down and allows it to hit hard causing the bounce. usually slowing down the valve at the soliniod will help this

Check to make sure your Tool changing arm is in the correct up position, I have had mine get stuck down and just didn't notice it.. Kept giving me an ATC error...

I had same problem with both of my VM1's. You may need a new tool changer motor. We had to change both. Fortunately, they can be rebuilt, and have been fine for a few years.

I had a similar problem when I first got my VM1, it turned out to be the ATC senor. I had to cut the wires and reconnect them, bad connection.
