    stepper motor question

    Hello all, i am testing my step motor controller. How come the shaft doesn't move? but i am hearing the noise that motor makes.

    My first guess would be wires to the wrong coil(s) on the motor or a loose connection. Is it a 6 wire motor?
    Have you done any voltage checks?

    its 8 wire motor, running off from 24v power supply. i've check everything, they all connected. i'll do a triple check just to make sure.

    Have you checked the current of your controller? Maybe the motor uses up more current than the power supply provides

    Try reducing the speed. It's loosing all of the steps.

    How can i do that? I'm using turbocnc
