Ok, i got the spindle rotation ok, but no tool change.
The issue i see is the air line which i believe sucks the tool holder up is disconnected. but what i dont understand if its a suction line the compressed air will blow not suck??
Please explain??

Hi guys.
I must be doing something wrong. I tested the relays which activates to tool changer and all ok.
So the question is while in MDI how do i test tool change? I don't have a program loaded yet.
Some machines just need the tool change command M6 T5 Cycle start.
Others need P for Pot when looking for a pot without tool in it the pot. M6 P5 cycle start. (HAAS) while in MDI i think.
Am i getting this mixed up? Bit lost at the moment why tool changer not working.
I have an old Leadwell MCV OP Fanuc controller
