Hi,

we have a Mazak SQT 18 MS (Mazatrol T Plus control) in the shop. The last few days, the machine is not starting up in the morning.

After switching the cnc-control on, we are receiving an Emergency-Stop-Error (33) with addition of "SERVO".

Sometimes - after a few tries - the error is gone and the control and the machine will start up.

Once it is starting without the error, it will run for the rest of the day without a problem...?

We tried to remove and refit the bus-connection cables between the control-modules and that seemed to help for a few days, but then the error came back.

Any ideas? Thanks!

So, a lot of the Mazak machines seem to use Mitsubishi controls, which makes me think there is some relationship there. Anyhow, most of the Mitsubishi controls share a common error code numbering scheme. A 33 is a high voltage on the DC bus. There can be a variety of reasons for this, but most require some type of service. Do you happen to have an MR-S11 type of drive in there? My guess is that when you get the error on the console, you can probably open the back of the machine and see a 33 error on the servo drive having the problem

thanks for the information I just looked on the machine but the error code is not displayed on the servo

To close this topic...

We were searching but could not find any error within the servo amplifier or motor.

But then we realized that the emergency-stop circuit was changed when the machine was new. The added bar-feeder was looped in the emergency-stop circuit an a defect in the control of the bar-feeder (defective emergency relais) was causing the trouble.
