Any one have a decent supplier of DM542T

    Hey G'day folks,

Anyone know of / can recommend someone for DM542T in Australia..

Also if anyone could point out the difference between DM542T and the DM556T.

Upgrading from miserable TB6600 I finally give up on those.

One other question has anyone seen small 50mm fans that can clip on the heatsinks? If so where or I should stop being lazy and make my own mounts...

    Cheers,
    Steve

    542 max amps 4.2
    556 max amps 5.6

If using nema23 motors use 48v. If using motors rated above 350oz/in or with inductance above 2.5mh then I strongly recommend bumping up to DM860T and at least 60v.

Try local Council for dead PCs?
Mounts - a bent bit of 16 gauge Al sheet is more than you need.

    Hey Roger G'day,

TY for your reply, I guessed as much. I shouldn't be so lazy. I've made a suitable mount. Just waiting on my new drivers to arrive I purchased 5 x DM556T from steppersonline.

I am hoping that the change of drivers will finally put to rest the odd missing steps and my Y axis with B slave going haywire (the B slave) dropping out. Its been plaguing me for years now, unexplained odd steps and bugs. The crazy hot days we have been having I think have definitely pointed to my poor choice of TB6600 drivers as being the culprit.

I've rewired, redone my control box checked every box I could check. The Hot days have I think revealed the culprit, the TB6600 were too hot to touch and cutting out. Just running simulated jobs was causing the B axis to drop out. Originally I thought maybe not enough power, so I added another power supply and so it went. If this doesn't fix the issue it may be time for Thor's hammer.

I thought I had enough fans in the box, for air circulation. I was going to put the fans on the fins of the tb6600 I won't bother I will add them to the new drivers when they arrive.

    Cheers.
