    Bijur Automatic Oiler

Does anybody have a 2005 ish MiniMill that they've had to rebuild or fix
    the Bijur oiler on?

Mine doesn't seem to be pumping.

I don't want to upgrade to a newer system.

    Anything is fixable.

Completely disassembled and cleaned the oiler.
Everything about the oiler is working fine.
I keep getting a "LOW LUBE OR LOW LUBE PRESSURE" alarm.

Is it possible the pressure switch is faulty?
    Anyone have this happen before?

    Thanks for any input,

    Doug

It is almost always the switch. Go to your local auto parts store and get an old ford oil pressure switch or brake light switch.

    Machineit,

    Thanks for the reply.

Was needing to clean the pump anyway, to switch over to the SHC 625 oil.

    Hey Machineit,

Do you have any info on what oil pressure switch you're referring to?

The original switch # 93-1311 or 93-1311a goes for about $130
Seems a bit excessive to me, for what it is.

    Thanks for the help,

    Doug

I don't have the number, but I believe I've seen it posted on the forum before. If you take yours off and take it with you to, say a NAPA store, you will probably find a parts guy that can find it for you. It is just like a switch that goes on many an old car on the master cylinder to light your break lights when you stop. Comes on at 4 or 5 lbs of pressure. Your Haas just needs to get that signal every once in a while to know that your pump is working. Switch is only about 10 bucks or less.

Easy way to test your pump is to set a video camera up to record the pump itself. Each cycle is about 15 to 20 minutes, if I remember correctly, You will see the pump knob go up, the release and the pressure gauge spike and go down. That is how I tested mine.

    Problem fixed!

Decided to go with an adjustable pressure sensor.

    Used a SUCO 0166-40103-3-003

Had to re machine the input thread to 1/8 NPT, instead of adapting it.

I was able to set the pressure trigger at 20 psi.
