Mars 130 suddenly cutting a thick line

HI all. I have a Thunder Laser Mars 130 which was working relatively well until a couple days ago. At some point it started cutting a really fat line -- not a tiny laser-thick line but instead something more like what you'd draw with a Sharpie. Needless to say, it doesn't cut through. I've checked the optics and the mirrors are at least as well aimed as they usually are. I cleaned them in the process, and when I pulse the laser (like you do at all extents of the bed, in the process of adjusting the mirrors), it cuts nice tight dots on my piece of tape. I also discovered the lens had some damage and replaced it. No dice. I'm kinda scratching my head here, can't think where to look next. Any ideas?

    ~ Thanks ~

I had the same thought, but nope it's been apart and together multiple times at this point. Definitely right side up. I got nothin.
