    5 Vane Impelar

    HELLO
I've been reading these threads and its very good info to learn. Now here is a little problem I'm having to turn a five vane impelar for a costumer of a Od. of 13.25 +/-.001in. I would like too know of any way to measure the diam. in the machine without taking the part out and taking it in to are Qa dept. to measure with the cmm. I would like to keep it in the machine if possible. thanks for any info on this subject.

If you have a known diameter, you can zero an indicator on that diameter and measure the radial difference.
