Do I need to define 0,0,0 in model space OR can I change that location withing deskcnc? Notice the grid in relation the the part.

Thanks, can the grid size be changed? The grid size relates to the working area of the machine right?

Look under Setup-Machine Setup, the DeskCNC Setup tab.

There are settings for X-Y-Z extents for the grid size and location, and a G20 (and G21 for mm) units display value for the grid.
