Hi Tommy - In the machine controller configuration area there is a spot that allows you to put in a calibration number. What controller are you using? Peter

In configuration that number maybe 600, so you change it to 600 x 852/850=601.41 and that will make the change you need.ie you need to scale the config number by 852/850=100.235%

One of my machines for instance is 200steps per mm. So it would need to be 200x100.235/100= 200.47 steps per mm

    Hi Peteeng
Thanks for the reply. Just thought the update on TNG software would have a calibration section like the old CNCUSB
Seams silly that there is no function for tuning the motors.
my original setup has the settings from the old CNCUSB set to 320 steps, over 100mm to 150mm it looked fine But over
850mm it was out by about 2.5mm, I have used an online page to tighten this up so far its looking good but i need to run it a few more times to check rather than wasting another piece of aluminum.

Hi Tommy - You don't have to cut anything to calibrate the axis. I use a 1000mm steel rule and move it 900mm and check against the rule. Same for X&Y and I use a Vernier for z. Also "tuning" a motor is different to "calibration". Tuning a motor is adjusting it so it moves smoothly, usually to do with the driver settings , calibrating motion is getting it to move the correct distance, usually in the machine controller. Peter
