Hi Experter,
If I want to cut the wood thickness about 1 inchs, How many watts for laser power properly?
Cheers,
Mongkol
I personaly would hit it with about 500 watts. if you hit it with more than is needed. What you wind up doing is vaporizing the material, not flaming thruogh it. I have not been using one of these table top little models. I work at ALSPI who can be found at www.alspi.com. so I also hit it with a shield gas of nitrogen about 12-18 bars of gas. that works better for me when cutting wood. if I am cutting .5 thick metal I use conditions for that as well but use Oxygen not to shield but as an assist gas. these little things that have less than 1000 watts well that is a hobby toy to me. sorry no offend ment.
I think you can cut 1" with a 100 watts lCO2 aser, at low speed.
