Our Arrow 2 1250 has the 10K RPM spindle option. It does have a glycol heat exchanger for the spindle on the back of the machine but it's just a heat sink, no active phase change cooling like a chiller. We've measured spindle growth at 0.002" after running at max RPM for 30 minutes. Fives Cincinnati has confirmed this to be typical.

Has anyone tried attaching a stand alone process chiller to their machine to control spindle growth?

Thanks for looking.
