First post, currently gathering parts to convert my Enco ZX7045 square column mill....

Anybody regret using 5/8" ballscrews on their RF45/Clone? It seems like a lot of people are using 5/8" and IH used 3/4", but the larger ballscrew/nuts cost almost twice as much from Roton. I've been leaning toward 3/4", but according to my calculations a 3/4" ballscrew has ~.0003in of axial deflection with a 100lb load on the table in its worst case position. The 5/8" screw has ~.00045in, or about 50% more for any given load. That's negligible compared to the .004"/ft error of standard rolled ballscrews. I'm not going to make a living off this mill, just doing hobby work with it.

Is it possible to use Nook XPR leadscrews with Roton ballnuts?
