    machinery moving

    Hello all:
Trying to feel out cost associated with moving machines from Southern California to middle Tennessee. I have a couple vf-5's and a couple sl-20.
    What are your experiences?

    Thanks

Most likely a $1000 to $1200 each plus rigger loading and unloading make sure you use a company that has a low loader Trailer I did some a while ago so could be more than this right now

Another way you could use a shipping container and bolt the machines down in the bottom this could then go by rail and truck

Do you have the Mill spindle Z axis shipping clamp and a way to strap / chain the base of the machines down this needs to be substantial to hold the machines in place

    Thanks Mactec54:
    Thanks for the reply.
Yes I did keep the z retention fixtures that were shipped with the machine. Not sure if I could get them in a shipping container.
