Milltronics ML-20 CNC lathe, 6 yrs old: I had to replace the main lube pump due to electrical corrosion caused by coolant getting in to the pump electronic controls. The next two replacements - direct from Milltronics - quickly failed, in less than a month each, the pumps would go crazy and just keep pumping too much oil at irregular and reduced intervals, regardless of the pot setting. The first replacement I sealed as best I could using silicone, including the audible alarm wires. It still got just a tiny bit inside. The second was completely dry inside when it failed! So I had to replace the uinit with a Bijur mechanical timer unit (model TMD-1; 26350-1) that is better sealed against outside contamination. Unfortunately though, this unit does not have an audible alarm; it will only alarm (the machine control) when the automatic cycle (other than homing) is attempted. Note to those who do this: you must flip the float to change the switch state.
