Hello,
I just purchased a Taig CNC ready mill and I would like to get suggestions on what electronics would be good for this mill. This is the 2019CR-ER if that makes a difference.
My applications to start out with will be just playing and learning how to use the machine. Later I will be doing a lot of CNC drilling/milling in Lexan and hard aluminum. Id like to spend around $300-400.
I built my own CNC router about 3 years ago but it was not all that accurate or quick. I used 80oz steppers and a HobbyCNC driver board. It missed a lot of steps and I had to move the axis very slow in order to get OK results. I noticed that hobby CNC has a 4 axis setup with 4 305oz motors for $335. Is this a good setup?
What would you recommend? Thanks!
Edit: I just found this package from xylotex, http://www.xylotex.com/3AxSysKit-425.htm
It looks like a better package than what hobbycnc offers. What do you think?
Also, how would I handle home/limit switches?
