Hello Folks

I am converting a Bridgeport V2XT mill, maybe from 1996, from the DX-32 control to LCNC and I ran into a WTH moment.

In an attempt to check the servo drives and motors I have wired them according to the schematic and when I apply power and the enable (10V) the motor lurches for about a rotation or two and then pauses, lurches and pauses, etc. The analog input (-10 to +10) doesn't control the velocity but will control rotation of the lurches. All three of my axis will do this so there is a good probability I messed up the wiring and the drives are ok or I toasted all three drives.

Any enlightenment on what stupid mistake I have made would be helpful.

drives are Motion Science HB12032-02, schematic attached.
motors ae SEM MT30M4-28
