I like the look and flexiblity of theses modular framing systems
Does anyone know some of the major differences or limitations
from one sysem to the next.

WAs wonder which manufacture has most economical pricing for

I dont know what the big differences are but I have found that http://www.mkprofiles.com/ is fairly well priced you can get a deflection calc and a price sheet from there website if you fill out the form then you get linked to the download.

Automation4less.com and BoschRexroth both sell aluminum profile framing.

Wow I just realized this thread is 2 years old.

LOL, thanks for pointing that out. I'll keep my reply shorter now...

I've only used Futura (tslots.com) and 80/20 (8020.net). I personally prefer the Futura stuff for mostly superficial reasons: the price list is easy to find, I hate being forced to call somewhere to get the price for individual parts - it inhibits making informed buying decisions; I bought from them first and I like the people at my local distributer; and the sides of the extrusions are smooth, I think they look better.

I'll add that 8020 is widely available (through their "garage sale site - excellent priclng) and they are fast and friendly shippers!

Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.
