    Tailstock quill doesn't move

    I got the Hwacheon Hi Tech 300 2007 year but can't force the quill to work by footswitch. What could be the cause? Footswitch changed. Thanks in advance.
    P.S. I have no docs except Fanuc 18i-TB.

    Check for setting on Software Operators Panel to enable tailstock.

    Thank you Mike. It works. But the quill moves even when spindle rotates. Is it correct?

    Yes, that is correct. Tailstocks don't normally have interlocks related to spindle running. Some have limit switches inside them that can be adjusted to confirm that the quill is in the right place. Meaning not out too far or not out far enough.
